Travel Health
Our Nurses can provide basic travel health advice and arrange for appropriate immunisations that are free on the NHS. Please complete the travel assessment form for our nurse to be able to advise you on what vaccinations you will require. Please arrange an appointment for a travel consultation at least 6-8 weeks before departure if possible. Vaccines need time to take effect and some may require a course over several weeks. If you require further travel vaccinations that are not included in the NHS schedule you will need to go to a Travel Clinic.
The following travel vaccines are available free on the NHS from your GP surgery:
- polio (given as a combined diphtheria/tetanus/polio jab)
- typhoid
- hepatitis A
- cholera
If you require further travel vaccinations that are not included in the NHS schedule you will need to go to a Travel Clinic
